thank god!
ok so i gave up meat for lent...what was i thinking.??? i remember after i stated what i was giving up...i was like...what the heck did i just do??? and after eating only fish and fruit for ten days i gave in and started eating carbs again. i decided that my promise for lent took precidence over my promise to myself. although i did make good choices and watched portions and blah blah blah and finally its over.!!! woo hoo! i was up 5 lbs but im back on and already down three so.....back to my previous program....199 here i come!

omg its lent!!

so here i am still at 212. happy but toataly at a plateau. i am sure its due to me getting too comfortable with the 20 grams of carbs that i have allowed myself to have every day. yea and also lent started two days ago..originally i was/did say i was giving up sugar free candies! omg yum and i am telling you that the first half day in....i was already freaking. can you say sweet tooth. then as if that werent enough...inner voice says...oh no no no...you are definately not giving up enough...how about meat...yea give up meat! wtf!? i already dont eat any carbs...now i gotta worry about protein without meat fo the next 38 days! wow. i almost wanna talk myself into having whole grains. actually i did have some low carb pasta/. that was good and sweet potatoes fries once. better choice and wow super giulty. anyhoodoin alright..gotta exercise more. thats the ticket!!

why oh why didnt i take before pictures??
ok super happy with my progress 212 lbs thats 38 lbs!! woo hoo! and just since jan 1. i was actually accused of having the lap band surgery under cover..haha i am sure she was kidding but it felt good ;) yea closing in on 40 lbs! super happy. clothes are fitting way better and actually some things are really big compared to how they used to fit..my co-workers are all motivated!!its great.. .makes me feel like it felt in the old days when i was a weight loss consultant! makes me wanna ring the bell....hey i have a bell. what did i do with it?? hmm?? funny;) i keep getting asked what i am doing what i eat??.. so i thought im gonna share that.
i have as much of this as i want although my appetite has diminished alot so its not like my calories are up i just dont count calories at all. only grams of carbs.
so heres what i did/do:
for 3 days no carbs at all! no!! none!!! ok so we are talking salads and proteins. only!!
ok so after those 3 days this is what i eat..
watermelon - ill use those little personal ones and eat half for a meal. or dessert if im hungry
berries - breakfast or snacking.
salad - i like to cook bacon and make a blt salad. thats lettuce ( i like the veggie lovers by fresh express but anykind will do) and i cut up tomato and mix it with mayo (reg not that light or fat free crap, theres sugar in it!) and salt and pepper to make like a dressing and mix it all together..yum!!
chicken - baked of fried whatever. i do like to make a malibu chicken knock off which is chicken breast grilled with ham and swiss cheese kinda melted on top- make a dip with mayo and lil mustard w/ s&p. Yum!!
fish - grilled with little lo carb tarter sauce
macadamia nuts - i love these!! i eat alot of nuts and berries
and i allow myself as much coffee with sugar free creamer as i want,
but i have to be careful with that it adds up fast cuz theres a carb in a serving so.....
also crystal light and water
diet sodas..but theyll make you bloaty so watch it
and just keep your carb grams under 20 a day or you have to do those 3 days all over again. its an incentive not to go over. for me it is.. those days are burnt!!

Broke 220;)
Super excited and really really encouraged. i adjusted my bathroom scale yesterday...had to take my son to the docs a few days ago so adjusted it by using him as my baseline...it was five lbs over. anyhoo i weighed myself this morning (pre-coffee) and bam! 218! two hundred eighteen pounds. thata a 31 lb weight loss so far...so far!!! man thats alot for only 42 days! just breaking the 220s is pretty exciting. i think the last time i was 218 was 2004. its just falling off now;).kinda surprised actually. so starting to do the excersise thing more..ick...the gazelle..bun and thigh roller...just waititn for the pool to heat up now and ill be swimming all the time. gonna swim my ass off!! literally ;). no heater gonna have to wait for the sun to do it...hello mr. sun, wanna play???

wow!!
o k so i have been soooooo :"good" whatever that means.---ill tell you what that means..it means that i have completely avoided carbs, other that melon. i eat a half of a small seedless watermelon or honeydew and cantelope sometimes (if i can find a good one). ahyhoo..no bread no sugar nada no fst food either other than the other day when i was forced to eat some pinto beans..yes forced..hahha. anyway i went to my work (the office with the scale i use) on last tuesday and the following sunday...now that would be the 1st and the 6th respectfully. so....on the 1st (thats 30 days , cuz i started january 1st..right?? right.), i weighed myself on that scale..and..17lbs!! seventeen??!! woo hoo!! i was on cloud 9! then...on the following sun and thats like barely 5 days cuz i weighed at like 200 pm on tues the 1st and then sun morn at 630 am. thats tues eve then wed, thurs, fri, sat, sun morn.. so yea... i weighed again and bam!! 25 lbs! twenty five pounds??!! wow!;) i rock!! i cant believe i couldnt do it til now. did i mention i was a weight loss consultant for three years for the queen of weight loss programs. i am sure you have seen her/the companys numerous commercials. even then i am lighter now than then and that was about three years ago when i switched back to my old profession... hmmm.."lighter" hahahaha funny;) not so much ..i really like my body. did then do now...and that never helped my weight gain situation. and man i have to do this. did i also mention i have family members that struggle more than i do..im talkin 450-500lbs..not cool baby!! im tellin you...that 250 mark was 1 lb away and thats what did it i know it. it took that much. and it doesnt help wearin scrubs at all!!! and the whole fast food thing..man its the devil...so yea!! 25 lbs. and i bet bythis weekend itll be 30!!! booo yahh!!! ill be back;)

i think something clicked..finally!!!

i really think something clicked. i have been so "good"(whatever that means) about my "plan"!!!! i am seeing results already, which i have to say is very encouraging in and of itself!! big smile;) ....there were these two scrub tops which i could barely wear anymore...comfortably, i mean i could hardly breathe in them....anyway theyre totally loose now!! yea me!! im not gonna weigh myself yet . dont even have a scale, but i can tell in my clothes, the mirror & i can see it big time in my face too. i can remember back in the day when i have lost significant weight before (yea its a pattern) after pregnancy or such..i can remember being kind of "addicted", for lack of a better term, to the feeling i got seeing myself shrink as the pounds came off. its (the inches coming off) happening rapidly enough with this no carbs thing, that, that feeling is happening again! loving it too!! super happy!!! sure not gonna stop now!!! gotta exercise more tho! go me!!!!
